Never say never

If you would've told me five years ago that I'd spend my Tuesday nights at scout meetings I would've said no way.  And then if you'd added that I'd be wearing a khaki shirt in the worst color ever for these meetings I would've told you to jump in a lake.  And then if you would've warned me that after one particular meeting I'd head to the store (Wal-Mart) wearing said khaki shirt to grocery shop I would've asked you for a gun to end it all right there.

Where's my gun.

If you don't like that color of khaki, then you must be a lover of the olive khaki that the French are so fond of. Wait, why are you wearing a boy scout shirt? Are you in Cub or Boy scouts?

Don't worry, it was just Wal-mart. The other day I looked ugly and had to shop so I drove past Target and went to Wal-mart.

Cam - I am wearing a (new) scout shirt because I am the primary's scout counselor. And this is the only color they let me have. I couldn't even go for the ugly yellow as they are phasing that color out. Cub scouts.

Ginger - yes, it was only Wal-Mart. But wearing it inside of Wal-Mart made me feel like I belonged. In Wal-Mart. I felt so trashy.

Get a bright little scarf to wear around your neck. It will do wonders for the shirt and miracles for your attitude!!!

Megan, the tan is mostly from LOREAL tanning gel that my cousin's wife recommended -- it's awesome stuff. AND it's available at Wal-Mart. Of course.

I don't know why you pretend to be such a novice. You must have rented "Troop Beverly Hills" a thousand times from "Castle Book and Video" back in the day.

PS. I think den moms are supposed to have yellow uniforms. I only say this because you appear to be saluting with two fingers (cub scouts) if you're in boy scouts then it's 3 fingers, and your wearing the right color. DOY!!

I loved "Troop Beverly Hills"- you really should alter the shirt, maybe add some ruffles in the front. And add the little hat she had, gotta have the hat. I'm going on 3 1/2 yrs in the Cub Scouts and I've been all over in that dumb shirt. Maybe we could go to a Roundtable together sometime and then go clubbin' in our khaki.
