Plumber please

This is Larry's outfit for our walk around the neighborhood. Some may call it scraggly but I call it who cares, he's a baby. Plus isn't he cute in this hat?
This is Lennon looking like he's 20 years old. Yes, we bought him some glasses. If you ask me why, I will explain to you that his left eye has a tendency to go in and out of focus and that the doctor explained that one eye is slightly nearsighted while the other is slightly farsighted so this mild prescription should do the trick.

If you ask Tod why he needs glasses, he'll say, "Google-Eye."
Instead, why don't you ask Tod why there is poo on his shirt? He will explain to you that we potty trained Lennon earlier this month and thought we were geniuses the first time he pooped...until Tod picked him up, put him on his shoulder for a celebration dance, then lowered him to the ground to find this. Lesson learned by all. But mostly by Tod.

Potty training was fine except the whole not-leaving-the-house-for-three-days part. This is what the family room looked like while Lennon ran around naked wiping his weiner on every corner of the house. But come over sometime! Sit on our couch!

I let him keep the cushions off the couch all three days. A huge deal for me. Being a mom teaches me a lot about my personality; I thrive when there is ORDER. When the CUSHIONS are on the COUCH. When the DISHES are put AWAY. When kids are napping when they should be napping and playing when they should be playing. I realized this more when it STRESSED ME OUT to see this mess everyday. I wish I weren't like that.

Sidenote: Lennon is into building towers that are as tall as he is.

Finally: What is the proper punishment for a two year old who takes his three day old glasses and flushes them down the toilet?

Because we haven't been able to find Lennon's for a week and he swears this is what he did. Maybe this is our fault for combining potty training with new glasses in the same week...

holly, your posts seriously make me laugh out loud! i am totally with you on the whole order thing. if my floors are dirty, toys scattered about, and breakfast still on the table while i am making dinner- i am stressed and not very nice about anything!

I told you those glasses things correct the google-eye-although I kind of liked it. Maybe you can teach me lessons on patience--I can't stand when anything is out of place, however my office at work can be a disaster, so I'm not sure how that works.

Poop on my shirt would probably make me throw up, but makes me laugh when it happens to others. Take notes, because we'll be asking you potty training lessons soon.

Holly, you crack me up! Steve was wondering what I was laughing about so I had to read it to him and he thought it was funny. BTW, Lennon is adorable w/ glasses. Hope you find them- not down the toilet.

Priceless...but wait...Ryan, you really want potty training hints? Umm, from what I gather, don't wear white shirts, no new glasses the same week and use slip covers or sheets on your couch for 3 days. Holly, does that cover it? I've made notes for myself for the future as well. Thanks for going through all of this first;)

Ryan it's so true...I want toys picked up and things put away but open any drawer/cupboard in my house and it's a mess. Weird.

You've got to start writing professionally Holly, I swear! You keep us in stitches! Lennon does look seriously LOTS older with those glasses ... and (sorry about this part) I was wondering how long they would last...but flushing them down the toilet was never part of my thought process. Hope they were insured. (for future reference: Always insure kid's glasses.)You have new toilet training techniques ... weiners were never just flying out in the open back in my day. LOL I love it!
