Bored?

Come over to our house. Better yet, help Tod with our neighbor's yardwork.
The other morning I got home and found Tod in our neighbor's yard. We have two vacant houses on our street -- bank owned homes. Tod was in one of the yards, aerating it by hand.

Me: Ummm, what are you doing?
Tod: Aerating this lawn.
Me: Why?
Tod: I want this house to sell for as much as possible.

So today I got home and found Tod in the OTHER neighbor's yard. This time he was working up a sweat: pulling weeds, clipping, trimming, edging...he claims he enjoys it and doesn't want his street "looking like crap."
Sometimes I wonder if you think I make up these stories. . .
Because really...who does this? Tod. Tod does this. Hey, I didn't marry him because he's like the rest of us...
Speaking of looking like crap...Tod recently planted a new tree in our yard. The tree looks fantastic, but he left the remaining dirt in the ditch for "later use." Our neighbor complained, so Tod willingly reshaped the pile (into a better looking dirt pile) and basically put it further into the street. I'm sure the neighbor is thrilled.

Tod has a lot of energy! I can see his point, who wants to live in a neighborhood that looks like crap. I hope those houses sell soon so Tod wont collapse with exhaustion.

Tod is really looking to the future. Not only will your street not look like crap, but your house will be worth that much more.

Way to go Tod. I like your dedication.

And Holly, I am glad you posted pictures because I could maybe imagine someone talking about doing that, but doing it is totally different.

Maybe the best post yet. Tod is too funny. I did not know the dirt pile belonged to you. Ha Ha!

Wow, that is just like me..except for the fact that i'd NEVER do that. I WOULD pay our gardener to do it, because it's cheaper than me spending the time. I like that there are people like Tod still in the world to make me look like a lazy piece...thanks Tod!

That a' boy, Tod!! You make me proud I "borned" ya'!! Holly, enjoy ... this trait is not necessarily found in the Wever gene pool. Tod is a true Renaisance Man ... even his dirt pile has a certain savoir faire (for a pile of dirt, that is).

Love ya'
