Periwinkles

Tonight I was looking through blogs while Tod laid on the floor reading about his new obsession:

FLOWERS.

Me: Tod, what book are you reading?
Tod: None of your business.
Me: Are those flowers in the pictures?
Tod: [sort of snotty] Periwinkles.
Me: [laughing]: Why are you reading about Periwinkles?
Tod: I've been observing the sun patterns in our yard. I think they'd survive. However, they only blossom in the spring, and the flowers aren't abundant. So I'm considering English Ivies instead which are a fast growing plant, not slow like Periwinkles. It's either English Ivy or Star Jasmine if you ask me...

Tod is the funniest person I know. Haha funny and peculiar funny all in one.
One more example:
The other day at the park, Megan asked me why I had a skull and crossbones drawn on my arm. I explained that Tod and I disagreed on something that day, so I took my pen and drew a line on his arm (knowing this would make him mad). He took that same pen, grabbed my arm and drew a deadly skull with crossbones. I am still laughing about that one.

QUICK CORRECTION: Tod just read this post and clarified, "I'm not obsessed with flowers, I'm into LANDSCAPING." Okay, Tod. Okay.

I am laughing so hard about the skull and crossbows thing. That's hilarious!
Oh and which Periwinkle is he considering, the Catharanthus or the Vinca? Be careful of the Vinca, they're considered an invasive weed....
What? It IS OKAY for guys to know about this stuff you know.

Seriously...I love Tod MORE through your eyes than my own. He is funny. But you are too!! What a great mix. Lennon better not let me down in the "funny" department! As far as the art on your arm. I do the SAME THING to Christian...it makes him furious, but...one time I did it, and he took the pen and wrote the word BEAST on my hand! I cried. IT was not a good time of the month for me! LOL!

you've been married how long? and are still surprised by tod's qwerks? I love it, you should have him show you some of the pictures of bunnies he used to draw while studying. i have never seen more intricate or detailed bunnies in my life, they literally had 10 to 15 hours of work into them. they should be in a frame in a gallery. love you tod. we need to come visit, i still don't think you have met my wife.

don't discourage him in the yard department!! It is so huge to have a husband who likes yard work.

holly, you can't quickly grab someone's arm and draw a deadly skull with crossbones. Not buying it.
