NKOTB

I wanted to be the one to break the news. Could this be real? Is it true that the five boys from Boston who stole my heart 18 years ago are back? They were my first concert -- fourth grade, wearing stone-washed jeans and a brand new t-shirt from the Gap at the Marriott Center. Jordan was my obsession for years and I will NEVER EVER deny that I saw him in person...

Tod and I were in Washington D.C. visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A very solemn place until you run into America's #1 teen heartthrob getting off a tour bus! I almost screamed to Tod:

Me: Tod, that is JORDAN KNIGHT!
Tod: Who's Jordan Knight?
Me: One of the New Kids on the Block!
Tod: No it's not.
Me: I'm going to run up to him and ask...

Tod: Don't.

But it was too late. Our bus was leaving and he was strolling away -- with that same swagger he used on the stage so long ago. I will always believe I saw him because I was one of his truest fans.

Karma, folks.

I recall that you have already seen this KNOTB in person at the Marriott Center. I know this cause I took you to the concert and I believe you CRIED!

My emotions were only further evidence of how pure my feelings towards them were.

And I saw them in concert but to see them FACE TO FACE at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is quite another story.

So now they go around on a tour bus visiting national monuments? Weird!

Oh I had the pins. You'd better believe I had the pins.

And to clear this up -- we visited D.C. a few years ago...I was speaking in past tense.

I was IN LOVE with the Knight brothers. BOP and Tigerbeat magazines made tons of money from me trying to get my hands on as many NKOTB pictures as I could. "Step by step...ooooo baby..."

Hey, I almost cried when I saw this announcement... actually I flashed back to 4th grade where I remember seeing this girl, Michelle, pull out a FRAMED picture (a wooden framed picture if I recall, not that cheap plastic crap) out of her DESK of this Jordan punk. I honestly don't see it.
Now Donnie Whalberg on the other hand... we all know he's the talented one. Don't even get me started on Marky Mark.
