On the boat and on the planes...

I came downstairs this morning and found Tod blasting Neil Diamond's "Coming to America." He really knows how to ring in the 4th of July right. The song says so much in just three minutes. We still have no baby, but we have Neil Diamond. I guess we can't complain. Today makes me miss Tommy who's serving a mission in Guatemala -- today is his favorite holiday so we're missing him today.

I also can't help but think of Diann, my old boss. She was obsessed with Neil Diamond and rightfully so. Just look at this picture. Laisa and Christian, you remember...
Maybe we'll have a little 4th of July baby...if so, my mom says its name should be Sparky. Or maybe Neil?

Happy 4th of July!

My favorite Neil Diamond CD is the soundtrack to the movie "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", based upon the novella by Richard Bach. This is a fable in novella form about a seagull learning about life and flight, and a homily about self-perfection and self-sacrifice. The music is haunting and supernally self fulfilling. I recommend that you get that CD. If played quietly, it would serve as a great background piece while having a quiet time with the new one. 80 percent of the CD is music.

Funny Tod played Neil for the holiday..I was making that musical suggestion to all my friends having July 4th parties...Because I did not have "Coming to America" I had to compromise and play some CCR...Creedence Clearwater Revival!

Could you have used the word "today" more in one sentence? Having you teach English is like having Bette Midler teach Health & Wellness 101.
